Dr. Amin Kassam has a unique experience in microvascular decompression for the four most common cranial nerve disorders:

Over the last decade, Dr. Kassam led the Cranial Nerve Disorders Center at the Unversity of Pittsbury. Under his tenure, the Center performed over 1,000 microvascular decompressions. Dr. Kassam has built an international practice with patients from all over the world. With his relocation to Saint John’s Health Center, Dr. Kassam provides patients on the West Coast with one of the nation’s largest experiences in microvascular decompression . With his interest in minimally invasive brain surgery , Dr. Kassam has focused on progressively making the procedure less invasive using smaller keyhole approaches (retromastoid approach) and endoscopic visualization when appropriate.
